i'll give anyone 17 to 1 that Philly canes the nets 4-3 in the EC finals! After which the Nets will self imploded and 3 of their so called guns will do the doggy dash out of town! Tails between legs and all! Only riggers (Rings), are KD and Kyrie and they had an absolute shit load of help from real champs.. One was a ring chaser and the other was just plain lucky that he got to play with King J and D Wade. The nets may be the best offensive team ever but the lakers can be the best defensive team in the leauge if healthy, it's still interesting. The west is loaded, the east not as much but the top 4 is solid. The point is, on paper they are the best team but still we wait and see. Maybe, Embiid goes crazy and put on monster games where nobody could stop him, maybe melo turns back time, maybe playoff murray is real, maybe playoff rondo can fix pg, maybe giannis performs mvp level this year in the playoffs

Some teams think they are going to contend with one star, they might, but you know when your truly contending and its sad to see players like Bradley Beal put almost 40 a night and be waiting for their teams promises of surrounding them with players which would make the team actually contend. Why not enjoy giving it your all in one night knowing it could truly be paid off.

Stephen A said russ' stats don't matter because he's had multiple chances to win championships with people like Kevin durant and James harden. If you see a player like Devin booker for example dropping crazy numbers in regular season but don't do good in playoff or have no playoff appearances that's like playing a video game at the easiest level because you're use to playing against players that don't try their very best and the playoffs is next level basketball for players who are so consistently good that you won't be amazed if they "drop 45 points" one game so the problem with Blake griffin signing to the nets is that it's a sign of weakness, when he was in Detroit we weren't sure if Blake griffin was able to score 40 points in his career ever again or even 20 but once he went to Brooklyn he's catching lobs, getting blocks, dunking, shooting 3s and its almost like he faked being a washed player to secure a chance at a championship.

Last year was one of the only times in my life when I truly believed over half the playoff teams could win.

I don't think the Nets are making the playoff with no depth, plus Blake and Alrdidges signings are terrible, better to get a league player than a washed superstar. What are they getting out of Blake? Tall, unathletic, can't shoot, can't defend, can.. pass a little?? What are they getting out of Aldridge? Tall, unathletic, to weak to guard a center, and too slow to guard a forward, can shoot midranges in 2021, airballs 3 pointers... They aren't as good as people think. DeAndre Jordan isn't as good as before, Dinwiddie is hurt. Joe Harris, Shamet, and Claxton are aight, but overall they have no depth. Heat, Sixers, and the Bucks are strong too, and they all have depth.

I think some NHL-like reforms could inject some parity: a hard cap with no luxury tax being key. NHL teams get punished for not managing the salary cap, and put greater pressure on maximizing the entry level/rookie contracts of stars. Tampa has been a juggernaut for years and FINALLY got over the hump last season! Before that, St Louis and Washington got their first rings in 2019 and 2018. Would love to see more franchises in the NBA have a shot at their first rings! Crucially, there are still dynasties in the NHL like 2010-15 Chicago Blackhawks - who were forced to retool their roster quite a bit to stay compliant with the cap but managed to win 3 rings in 5 years.

Parity is gone. I loved last season so much due to this fact. There were a bunch of teams with two stars, but now there are 2-4 teams that stand a real chance, and 4 teams is a stretch.
